Patrick Xavier Leroy adopted South Africa as his home in 2004, moving to Cape Town from Asia after 9 years working in the corporate world for a global leader in communications.

To broaden his business expertise in human resources, IT, marketing, he has pursued the development of security, logistics and training skills. Customers today include multinational corporations, events managers, tourism companies, facility owners, community organisations, individuals and security contractors. Recent turnkey assignments have involved:

• In-house security coordination & management for roll-out of a multi-faceted security programme for a major international bank with nearly 200 staff in South Africa.
• Team Leader for the management of security teams, involving logistics coordination, close protection, event security, high-value goods in transit, guarding and tactical security advisory.
• Security & protection of overseas delegates, top level management for multinational corporates and global charitable organisations, and international artists from various countries and backgrounds.
• Security assessments & safety reviews for numerous facilities, including diplomatic buildings, commercial operations, office facilities and homes.
• Event security, and in some situations, crowd control, for major conferences, tours, opening debuts and various public sporting events, such as the Indian Premier League (IPL).
• Security driving for various public and private functions, alone or as as a multi-person security team. This could involve executive transport, the provision of back-up and reconnaissance services as well as the transiting of high-value assets from point-to-point.
• Extended close protection of a South African government official, following a series of death threats, as part of a 24-7-dedicated team for this 6-month assignment.
• Instructor and training assessor for Ronin Close Protection Services in Cape Town, on an ongoing basis. Ronin is a leading provider of close protection, firearm and emergency medical training in South Africa. Credentials are recognised by the leading South African and UK government authorities.

Before his French military service, Patrick attended the University of Paris, earning a BA degree in Marketing & Finance. He worked for 9 years in Singapore for a major global communications multinational firm, starting in IT, HR, and later, sales and marketing. Raised in Hong Kong and Singapore, he studied at international schools, prior to attending university in France.
